Where did you get those stingers? I have the shims from fightercat for these, just can't find any stingers...

I got them from Scott(Tiqueman). I think he just got them in a TFL order he had been waiting on. He didn't mention anything about shims. What's the need for them? Thx Jeff

Picked up hull and rest of parts from Tiqueman today. CF inlay looks awesome. Still need to get shims for stingers and motor mounts. Also need to order flex cables and collets. I know which collets I need but unsure of flex cables. Know I need right and left. Can anyone post a link to the right flex cables for me. Thx Jeff

Lol wish I had extras to give you. I just looked on Kintec and they have the 3/16 adjustable cat stingers in stock for $30.

Whatever I couldn't find at fightercat for flexes or wire drive's I was able to pick up here

Got a little done this morning before I head out on the real boat. Got the hatch seal tape and hatch locks installed. Drilled holes for rudder,water inlets and antenna mounts. Was thinking of leaving this boat white but now that I have it in hand the seams are very pronounced and too visible. Looks like another trip to my airbrush guy that did the Popeye.

Laid out electronics trying to get an idea where to put everything. Was hoping Nate would be building his and I would have something to follow. Trying to dig up and old twin build for a Daytona but can't find one. Here's what I think I've settled on.....

Got a little more done today. Epoxied in ESC mounts and RX mount. Installed servo mount and servo. Drilled holes and installed linkage boots. Cut and epoxied in supports for stingers.

Ready to see the stingers mounted.. Finally got another run today on my vortex hydro...and Im happy, everytime I build, it gets better and better.

Lol can't mount stingers as I'm waiting on shims. I got stingers you got shims,between us at least we could build one twin set-up. Plus I dropped off the stingers,rudder assembly and few other parts to be powder coated. I work out of town Tue-Fri so no more progress till weekend for me. Hoping motor mounts and shims will be here by then. Yea I ran my Popeye hydro today also. Love the way hydros handle. Lots of fun. Do you have the drives for your stingers yet Nate? I still am unsure exactly which flex cables I need to order other then I know I need left and right. Thx Jeff

Got back in town today and picked up hardware from being powder coated. Came out very nice. Really like how the stingers look. Got a little done tonite. Mounted rudder,water inlets and antenna mounts. Installed and bent the linkage rods. Waiting on shims and motor mounts still.
