Nice...love those mbp collets...Im working deal on one in FS forum now...was also thinking possible twin or 8S setup....I run those Leos in several 6S setups, they are good motors for the money, my buddy and I havnt smoked one yet and we do push the limits with them often.... DJ

I doubt I'm experienced enough to pull out a 100mph boat build just yet. I wish. I'd be more happy along the line's of high 70's with this hull. But in any case, good news is, I like the fact that I have the option to run 4-6s lipo on 2200s. I may run two 5s packs on these motors.

This will also be the first time I have ever cut out carbon motor mounts as well. Anyone have good ideas for making motor mount templets for the sponson's and motor mounting for this hull and 40mm motor?

btw, I can't believe what you can end up spending on carbon fiber twill and plates...Blows my mind ha.

I have yet to use these collets, but everyone says there the only way to go on a high rpm setup.

Here's what I ordered. Two of these sheet's in the link. This should give me enough to make the mounts, a nice size servo tray, and hopefully a cut out backing support for the motors. Should look nice in red sitting on the black cf inlay. Matching red leo's and red esc wires.

Nice ! that is going to be hot looking....MBP collets all I will be using from now on, a bit costly but worth it to me... its going to be fast, 100mph is not an easy task or cheap either...knife edge rudder, hi torque servo ( I use savox ) I seen you went with a hitec, used alot of them in rc planes.....looking forward to seeing this one completed ...its going to be a very nice boat... just a heads up, we tried x445 props on our leo 4082 2200kv 6S T180 esc and had some issues...my esc would do a thermal shutdown after a short time....actually getting better performance out of a 642 but we think a 43 or 44 is going to be ideal....with your 220A esc you probable wont have any probs.....

I have a set of 42mm cnc counting rotating props I will start with first. I also have a set of 4074's 2200 leo's that came from my MM build that Im not using now that im running 36mm motors, thought about running them over the 4082's. Not yet decided. I feel bad letting them just sit up, and nobody has yet to try and buy them, so If they dont sell soon thats what ill do. I almost bought a pair of TP's, but decided not to.

I hope that the red carbon plates end up looking good in this hull, I can't wait to start working on this thing! If all goes well on this build, I want to step up the game with an MHZ or HPR hull!

YES, when I grow up I want a MHZ or HPR too understand your wanting to get busy..I checked out that link you got your CF plate from, nice selection of products. I seen Keith B new build and he is using a diamond pattern CF cloth that was really nice looking, I want to find it and use in my Daytona. I just bought that genesis off the for sale forum, going to pull out everything and cf then replace that 1515 1Y with a 1521 1600kv and go 8S that should push the limits a bit.....DJ

Look what came in the mail today! Carbon fiber was packaged nice, along with the boat. Fightercat ships very fast! Now to get started with the inlay.
