Well our friend at MBP,Joe has just the hydraulic faky's. So he has them on the way for me. Boy I tell you,I am glad I didn't have the bolts and washers on inside the hull for that mishap. It would've been the Geico all over again. I just had epoxy threads in there at the time.

I also considered using a 1/8th prop shaft and .098 flex to replace my bent parts. It really wouldn't take much modification as those faky shafts are 3mm and 1/8th is 3.2mm

        Yep,
You got lucky their on them bolts.
I did that once with the my 36" Pb Shockwave,
That rudder has a 3/16 rod and snapped at the weld to the rudder.
It happen in 2' of water so I got the rudder back and still need to weld it together.

I was looking at the brass bolt on my build with this same rudder and thought of replacing it. After seeing this, it's a no brainer!

Well,my cables came in from MBP (Joe) and made their way on to the boat. I also got my thumbscrews from Reid Supply. I had them send me a few different ones. These will make pulling the hatch quicker than fighting with an Allen wrench. I am going with the small ones with the red water line on them.

And this is the look with them and my Aeromarine locks

                There nice,
I am using the same allen wrench one's,
But I put short vacuum caps on mine to make them easy to grip and take out faster.
Will be nice to see the Komodo back on the water.

The last run was good electrically speaking. If I don't work tomorrow I may try to get out. One more successful run then tear it down and paint.
                    Thanks for the comments guys.

Well I got out again at the request of "tiq".He and Ray have the other two hulls and he wanted to see how it would handle in race trim. So I propped up and let her go for 4mins straight. All was good. On the ET it only punched a max of 89 amps and 1600 watts. I think these batteries I bought from the LHS are dropping voltage bad already. Mmmm may have to go back to the Castle outrunners and get some Dinogy's.....

It seems to straighten out well in the corners in chop.I am pleased with this as it was getting annoying flipping in the corners with the Shocker.

So onto the bounce, I am thinking that the way this rudder is mounted may be suspect. This is how it is now

It is swept back and I am thinking it is "releasing" itself in the water.Don't know if that term is valid but it is how I see it.
So I am proposing a minor mod to the blade to get it "square" with the ride surface like this :

                                Whatcha think and
