Imax's twin carbon Shocker

Im not going to build thread every build I do because after the first one of a specific hull, in this case, a Fightercat Shocker 950 twin, theres no point in documenting the second one as it will, for the most part, be exactly the same.

that being said, here is Imax's build Im doing for him. It will be getting two of Fightercats TP4050 1820KV inrunners and Seaking 180 controllers. Hull will be laminated in Orange/ black Carbon Kevlar w/ custom Carbon motor mounts and all carbon accessories (battery trays etc.) Set up will start out on 4S, and eventually go up to 6 which from the numbers off my HPR should place it around 80mph and come in pretty cool. heres a pic of most of the parts and hull

the orange black C/K came out a bit more red, I think because it was put over an already black hull, but its still more orange than the picture shows. I took about 10 pics and this was the closest I could get to the actual color, which still isnt right.

Motor mount template. I hope to get the mounts cut out this afternoon as well as the stingers installed so I can get the stuffing tubes in, in the next day or two.

If your camera has multiple light source choices availble for Tone/White Balance settings (e.g., daylight, tungsten/incandescent, fluorescent), you'll achieve truer color by selecting the correct light source used to take the photo.

Thanks for all the great advice in putting together this build... I'm really looking forward to the finished product.

This is my first FE boat and after a bit of research it was obvious that FighterCat and OSE were the best sources for quality and reliability... Many thanks to Benjamin at FighterCat for putting me in touch with Scott who is obviously a master at FE builds. Looking forward to participating in this dedicated community. I admire the passion of those involved, if it were not for the folks participating here this sport and hobby would literally be dead in the water...

Mounts are made and set in place. Next Ill make the transom doublers out of CF and epoxy them in place. And in the meantime Ill make a drill template for the FC stingers.
