Make a Wake... I'm a bit confused here... Will those bearings fit the stock outdrives? I would love to add those to mine as well.. I can measure the size to find them. Also, you got larger tubes.. What did you get.. basically, I need some hand holding here.. I don't know what you used.. Last question, are the bearings ok to use in the water. My experience with bearings is water and bearings don't mix. Are these ceramic? I should be getting my boat back from the painter in about 2 weeks.. Its not the best weather here so time isn't a big deal anymore.

Entire driveline is now bearing supported! Had to bore out the lowers on each outdrive to get them to 'pop' in, thought they were drop-ins...........................NOT.

Center picture, the left side is the stock brass bushing.

There are bearings at each end of the larger brass stuffing tubes................the whole steel shaft is bearing supported. I ordered a Villain bearing set for the outdrives as well, there's a package on the table behind me, it may be them. So now the whole driveline will have bearings!

When you reamed out the holes for the larger drive shaft's, did you use bearing's there too ?. Or are the drive lines spinning on greased gaskets ?.
I say bearings, my pal says no bearings. What does he know ?, hes one of those rock crawler guys, he he he he he.

looks great... can't wait till I get mine under way.. I will be using the same setup as you.. this way I won't have any issues... The only thing different from mine is the props.. I am using the carbon graupner setup... unless its just that bad, then I will go to metal props..

Forgot i had to grind flat spots on the motors. Props are still in rough form.

One whole driveline complete..........................tougher than it looks to get it all lined up and attatched. Made my shafts out of stainless 5mm rod. Stout gears mesh up real well. Teflon washer between u-joint and bearing where most of the thrust load is.

I'm just sitting back reading these posts while my boat is out at the painters getting the yellow touched up and a couple of coats of clear sprayed on as well.. I will get around to the motors and esc's soon enough.. its too cold on the east coast to do much with boats anyway so I have all winter to play.. Spent the last 3 says programming a quad copter and working out the electronics and testing of a FPV plane. seems the local government may be interested in purchasing this plane and helicopter or having one built for them to use in law enforcement. Not sure how they found out about it, but they have their ways.. for those that don't know.. FPV is a remotely flow plane flown thru a camera system with GPS navigation.. Cool stuff but can get very expensive .... they have a range up to about 10 miles... Sending one of these up in the air with issues is not a good ideal.. they are not small... this one is about 8 feet long..

Make-A-Wake you read my mind, ha ha ha ha. As a matter of fact I picked up a sweet one owner villian iv today as well. as soon as it arrives, I'll shoot some pic's and get g' posted. Your righr, It's a sweet scaler looker too.

This one has a astroflite esc good for 4s, twin Octura props and matching Speed Gems motors already installled.
I'll run as is for now, Once I get my ul-1 and miss bud tied up, i'll start on her rtoo.

I'll be following this build, and thanks for the ideas.

what are you going to use for a cooling pick up? Putting one on the pack or one on the bottome to keep the stock look.

Gonna use the stock black Villain pickups for the EX, two on the transom right at the vee.
