N-1 Any ROAR-approved stock .05 motor as defined by current ROAR
    parameters.
Power Limits: Up to 7.5 Volts nominal, any

    10,000 mAh.

There isn't currently a NAMBA class that limits to 3.7V. M-2 does limit to the use of 1-4 Ni-Chemistry cells, however, but lipos aren't currently allowed in that class, and no one runs it at this point, except the occasional nut-job (like me!) who puts something together from time to time to run SAW or 2-Lap with it.

Thanks for the explanation Darin! So it's just the motor that differentiates between N1 and N2. Interesting!

Yes... a HUGE motor difference! N1 is essentially a spec class... ROAR "Stock" motors only... that's 27T brushed, or 17.5T Brushless.

Impressive, I like the, how is it called, flooded stuffing tube - I need to try one of those.

One question, with it so light, how susceptible is it blow overs? Low profile make it less?

Sweet work, very interested to see her on the water!

If I can get an N1 Mono going fast enough to worry about blow-overs, then I'm REALLY doing something RIGHT!!

              Darin and Brian,

Beautiful work and great job minimizing weight and extra fasteners, but I have just one little comment to make. The cantilevered motor on a carbon bracket looks like it will oscillate when running. Perhaps just adding a simple rear support from wood or even firm foam to help the motor from bouncing may be a help.

Best of luck at the 2-lap event. Are you going to bring your P-mono out too?

Tyler, I have the same setup in my N1 Hydro and it seems to be working fine. It's VERY rigid (what else would you expect from something Brian lays up... ) I actually had more of this type of issue with the aluminum prototype version of this drive.

Are you going to bring your P-mono out too?
Not this time. My P-Mono WildThing is all stripped down to the wood and is going to eventually become, after some changes to some of the hull dimensions, a plug for a new mold. Might be some time before I attempt to go there again.

Yeah, Brian is the man when it comes to nice carbon parts. What ratio are you looking at running?

It's setup with a 2:1 ratio currently. My N1-Hydro was setup with 1.77:1 previously, and ran a 41 second 2-lap without breaking a sweat. Steven told me his boys were running their N1 Monos at the Nats with 2:1, so I'm going to start there and see where the temps are. We'll see how far this motor can be pushed. Motors are 2200KV, so that should be good for around 35,000 RPM unloaded.

Should be fun. Let us know how she runs.

You could use a MR200 and save more weight.

Added a little color, decals, and striping. Guess all that's left to do is see if it floats, and put the power down!!
