Well, I had a hard time setting up the twin outboards, never could get the balance right and the handling was all over the place. Flipped it twice at less than 30mph, so I decided this build was not meant to be so I stripped the hull and am going back to a single setup. This time instead of a castle 1515 on 4s, I purchased a new 1717 that I'm gonna run on 5 and 6s with an x-648 or a 452. Will have to re-install the stuffing tube, but this time I can get it at the correct height unlike the factory setup. Pics to come. Here is an old vid of the tc w/the 1515. The bottom vid is the only one I had with the twin outboards.

That thing looked awesome with the 1515 in it. Looks like it moved pretty good!
I've been looking at that 1717 for my Miss Geico. What would be the advantage of running that larger, lower KV motor on 6S compared to a 1512 1800kv on 4S?
Thanks
Rafael

I would run the 1512 on the geicko. It has more than enough power for that hull size, plus you can use a 120 amp speed control rather than a 180+. Also 6s in the geicko adds a lot of weight from the batteries. My thundercat is only 31-inches, but its an older nitro boat and is heavy for its length. It needs a little extra power to get it going.

I traded one already and am using the other in a supervee hull.Originally posted by getusum View PostScott,
