Guys, what steering servo are you using in your JAEs?

    Thanks.

Thanks Doug. I have a spare Futaba 9402, I was thinking of using, but it could be overkill.

I have been using this Futaba Mini for several years in most of my P-Limited 4S boats. Not cheap, but VERY reliable.

It's time for some fun once all of this snow and ice are gone in D13.

The boat looks great Geoff. I worked your prop over while we were iced in.

Hi People, I forgot to weigh my bare JAE.21FE hull when I made it and need to know how much it was, did anyone note the weights of an epoxy sealed (but not painted) bare tub and same for a pair of sponsons? If not, I would really appreciate it if the next person that builds one would stick the bits on the scales for me before they paint or fit hardware.
                            Many thanks, Paul.

Just found this thread and in the process of building mine. Some of the instructions in the manual seem a bit ambiguous: on page 28, the instructions mention whether or not a high or low power motor is used and how the bottom sheets are glued to the sponsons. Low power means what? A UL-1? I plan to use either a Leo 3674 or TP Power 3640/2200 KV, 4S pack. Do these motors still constitute low power?
So what do you guy do when gluing the bottom sheeting on the sponsons? Center the sheeting or offset to one side?

                                Sorry, no weights.

I know I'm late but for the servo I used a Hitec HS5245MG. Same servo as a 225 only it's digital.

The one I have was skinned when I got it. I only modified it to my liking.
