Doug is it better to solder the coupling end of a flex to stop it unravelling, The flex is a .098" Octura + Octura collet coupling. Didnt know whether it was nesessary with a collet coupling or not, Its not going in a JAE hydro but a small micro mono. Thanks Martin.

Is that the higher temp silver solder that model engineers use where you use a gas torch rather than ordinary electrical type solder done with an iron. If it is the one done with a gas torch is it literally the tip thats done so as not to affect the flex to much with heat. Thanks Martin.

Yes sir just the tip. I have tinned up to 1" of 3/16" and 1/4" cables for use with set screw type couplings. The trick is to get in and out, don't linger with the heat. And you want a good neutral flame.

I'm guessing he has about 575.00 in it right now with the two UL-1 set ups.
It lacks two cables, collets, 4s packs, H7s, and a RX and it's ready to go.

Thanks Kent, we'll have to wait till spring for a vid. She's going to the Great Frozen Lake state. LOL
