ya it pulls the h-7 and 1450 fine. i have a 1650 back-cut but havent tried it yet. i tore the rudder off the back on the 1st pack last time out. got it all fixed up and ready to go. temps are low and speed high so i cant wait to try the 1650

Yeah...1650! I have a NIP 1740 that I have been looking at...don't know if it's too much for the UL-1 system though.....that prop was originally intended for use on my Avenger rigger (which may just become FE in the near future...)Attached Files

Thats a good looking rigger Kent. I have a cut down, pitched 1450 that Sholund did and the H7 is a bit faster on spec power.Mike Chirillo

Kent;
the 1740 used to be used on the K&B outboard riggers back in the day. Big lifting prop to get the motor and rear end of the OB rigger up in the air.
I have some ABC props you can try on it.

Thanks Mike! Yup...looked like the H-7 is the faster of the two when we were running pretty much side by side in Queenstown.
Hey Carl! Yeah, that 1740 prop will lift pretty well...might be good to use on the 'ol Spitfire O/B rigger! Thanks for the offer on the props for the Avenger! If there is anyone who knows those riggers, it would be you! I will let you know if I get it FE'd. I'm thinking 1521 1Y in that one....I would be stoked to finally get it finished and run it...FE powered baby!!
...1740 would work well on the Spitfire with a Neu 1515 or so...Attached Files

Here's my latest build for a fellow AMB member. With the other three IC guys that built them over the winter (one of the being Wes with Gas Parts Plus) this makes ten of them in the club!!
Marshall is going to paint this up (it's sealed already)and get her ready to go. Meanwhile I'll do him up a H-7.
On to the next build. I just have to figure out if it's a Lynx Tunnel, Phil Thomas Sport Hydro, Open Mono, or a Seaducer gas Mono. LOL

Which hex screws are you using on the motor mounts Doug?Mike Chirillo

I used the screws that came with the mount. I did replace the decorative washers. I don't like the metal ones (they will cut into the plywood) so I replaced them with solid black plastic washers I found at the hardware store.
