Yes, There are those of us nitro guys (including me) that are looking for cowls to cover our engines with. Of course they would have to be taller than those in the pics. Those are nice looking cowls, though!

Here is the scoop.

Phil is going to do re tool and make a new plug from the prototype plug of the Stealth cowl. He estimates this will take about a week and he can start producing these cowls.
The estimated cost is $10.00 plus shipping. This is a steal when you consider the time it takes to build the plugs, make the cowls, cut the vinyl windshield, invoicing, packing, and shipping.
The cowls are made out of .060 High Impact Polystyrene,( it will sit flush in the deck opening) and will include the windshield.
I will post here on the forum when he is ready to start shipping.

Nitro cowls.
Phil is speaking with Joe about making cowls for the nitro boats. ( dimensions, material, fuel proofing, ect ) Hopefully they can combine efforts and come up with something that will fill that void.
As always the quality of Vac-U Boat products is second to none, you won't be disappointed.

How many of you are seriously interestes in the cowl for the JAE 21 FE? Let's try to give Phil a starting number.

Doug, I definately want one...will this fit the kit with the original two hatches, or is it made for the single (long) hatch like the one Joe sent you? Also, will the windsheild decals come on a sheet so we can paint it and then stick them on?

Kent it is made for the one piece hatch. It should be fairly easy to remove the deck ply above the 2nd bulkhead so that you can use this cowl.
Phil was going to make a 2 piece cowl but Joe is changing the design to a one piece cowl unless something has changed.

The windshield is four pieces of vinyl that will be applied as one (if that makes sense) and will not be applied to the cowl when you receive it.

I'll try to post a pic of the windshield but I am crazy busy trying to wrap up this week, and get ready for the race.

Inside the tubs and ski are sealed , one coat of epoxy on the outside of the tub, ski, and sponsons.
We decided to go with a one piece deck, one less thing to keep up with on race day.
Last two pics. Paul, Trini, Louis, then John and the sponson jig he hooked us up with. I'm the good looking one behind the camera.
We are getting closer!!

5/16 ID X 11/16 OD x approx 1/16" nylon washers. I found them at my local Home Depot.
