If so, the new black ones have the wires exiting out the back of the can, therefore
IT WILL CLAMP.

ok here we go..... if you will notice the motor mount rear clamp sits right against the wires in the first picture. the cooling can sits right against the wires in the second pic. i do not think that the cooling longer can will fit in between the front and rear mounts. it isnt a mater of fitting on the motor but rather a matter of fitting between the mounts. i havent measured it and could be wrong but it doesnt look like it will fit to me.. i guess i will have to measure the mount and see if there is 57mm clearance between them but i remember reading somewhere it didnt fit. i dont think there is enough roon on the rails to make a new hole so i would have to fab new rails which i didnt want to do....
as for the diameter being 48.5mm that is the OD, not ID. i think they give that spec so you know it it will fit in applications such as riggers (and just so you know it wont fit a stock JAE, that is why i used a 1415 instead of 1515)see my fleet : http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294Comment

I mounted a 2" long cooling jacket in the same mount for the XL (36mm dia) motors.
The longer jacket is 2.2"... But I understand if you'd rather not.
