On 10s it will turn 21.500 rpm under load, more than most gas/petrol boats I know and it will spin the same props. Even on 10s you can get 60mph easily. On 12s it spins 25.885 rmp under load like you said. A x462 gave me 60mph in my 45' mono on 12s. The motor wasn't even warm so this thing can spin the largest props easily. Spinning a big prop at low rmp's is more efficient than spinning a small prop at high rpm. In Europe, nobody spins I know spins over 25.000-28.000 rmp in big mono's unless for saw use. Spinning low rmp with a big prop is the way to go if you want speed and some runtime. I hope I could help you with this.
Thank you very much, that deffinetly answered my questions in a way even I could understand. If Lars doesn't take it we'll talk.

Oh, I apologize than. Ken had a question about the motor. We will continue here in
public so everyone can read along as stated in the rules. I am new to the rules of the OSE
forum, on every other forum things like this happen in PM. It won't happen again...

Ken asked me in his pm which was best, run this motor on 12s or on 14s:

Ken, this depends on what you want. Is it for a mono or a cat? For a mono
I would say 12s if you want some runtime. You can get 60-70mph depending
on the prop and still have some runtime left. If you go for 14s, you will get some
serious speed but a Lehner 3080 will demand lots of current if you overload them
at that rpm. So if you want like 70-80mph, 14s-16s is the way to go but you will need
at least a 300A esc. For running on 12s a 250A esc will be enough. Use at least 10.000mAh
and 45C cells because those 3080's pull high current peaks!

Thanks Roy, does the motor have a 8mm or 10mm shaft?

Indeed a 10mm shaft. The coupler on it is a 10mm - 1/4' flex coupler.
Thanks Tyler for your answer in my thread!
