    Lehner 3080/9

    Hello,

    I am selling a Lehner 3080/9 (583kv).
Only used a few times because it had too much power for my 45' mono.
Motor is like new. I am asking 700 dollars shipped to the states.
Ideal motor for running 12-16s in a big mono/cat.
You get everything you see in the pictures.

    SOLD!!

People who run 10s can also afford 12s, I don't think that is the problem here. I am open for
any offers you guys have :) Have a nice day!

            10. Bumping threads is limited to once a week. "to the top", TTT or anything else that bumps the thread to the top will me deleted. Repeated bumps will cause the entire thread to be deleted. If the item isn't selling consider, reducing the cost, adding more details or more photos.

This chart is kv in Delta, which is 583kv for this motor, in Y it would be about 336kv.

Where does it say that on here? I'm just trying to figure out how this motor will perform even on 12s it's only 25,885 rpm.

I had a 3080 12T for a few years....it was only about 480ish KV and on 10S (19,000 rpm..ish) it moved some big boats into the high 50's turning huge gas props with no issues.

                    These motors are brutes!

That motor spinning a prop with 4.5" of pitch could drive a pretty large mono or cat close to 80 mph on 12S.

It's kinda stated in the operating instructions.

                        9. Triangle or star configuration:
Series 30xx motors can be used in triangle configuration or in star configuration. The 6 high current connectors of
the motor can be used in two different ways (see pictures below). In star configuration the motor behaves as if it
has 1.73 times the number of windings and an accordingly, by the same factor, lower rpm per volt.
Example: In triangle configuration a 3060 / 8 has 875 rpm per volt, in star configuration the same motor
                        has 506 rpm per volt.

To answer your question, with large boats you don't need extreme rpm. Lehner gives rmp under load so you could compare it to a (583x1.1) 640kv leopard, TP,... On 10s it will turn 21.500 rpm under load, more than most gas/petrol boats I know and it will spin the same props. Even on 10s you can get 60mph easily. On 12s it spins 25.885 rmp under load like you said. A x462 gave me 60mph in my 45' mono on 12s. The motor wasn't even warm so this thing can spin the largest props easily. Spinning a big prop at low rmp's is more efficient than spinning a small prop at high rpm. In Europe, nobody spins I know spins over 25.000-28.000 rmp in big mono's unless for saw use. Spinning low rmp with a big prop is the way to go if you want speed and some runtime. I hope I could help you with this.

Shipping cost to Sweden is the same as shipping to the USA from Belgium so 600 $ including shipping.
