    Genesis cat with extras

Well to start everything that is in or comes with this boat was bought brand new within the past 4 months. I bought the hull from HK and have been building it up since. Here is a list of everything it has,
    - Leopard 4082 2000kv motor w/ 40x50 leopard water jacket
    - Turnigy 180 amp esc with the extra caps bank, also w/ programming card
    - Grim Racer 45x68 sharpened and balanced prop
    - HPI 2.4ghz tx/rx
    - OSE Motley Crew upgraded .150 3/16 drive shaft
    - OSE Genesis 3/16 conversion strut
    - Aeromarine 5mm to .150 coupler
    - Aquacraft Revolt upgraded strut bushing(installed), as well as a speedmaster 21 strut bushing
    - Thrust Bearing
    - Offset Rudder
    - HK waterproof rudder servo
    - OSE 1/4" water tubing throughout boat as well as spare 3/16" tubing
Also comes with, grim racer speed grease, transom water pickup, spare capacitator, 40mm rear motor clamp(one installed and one spare), water tubing clamps and water tubing Y splitter, spare water jacket o rings, Teflon liner, brass tubing, bulkhead fitting, spare connectors)
Has deans plugs installed and comes with a deans series connector, the motor and esc both have 6mm connectors installed
Nothing is wrong with the boat, near perfect besides a tiny bit of hatch paint off from tape and a small chip in the gelcoat on the underbody of the boat, the chip was covered over with epoxy so no worries there. There is Velcro on top of the battery trays as well as Velcro straps that go under the tray and over the batteries to hold them down.
I have $825 as well as countless hours into this boat in the past couple months. The reason for selling is I have decided to get rid of a couple of the toys to get a new motorcycle.
    I am asking $675 shipped

Sorry for the poor picture quality, these were all taken with my ipad.

I don't have a gps to track how fast, but it smokes my blackjack 29 which supposedly goes 50, I would say somewhere in between 60-70, and I run two venom 3s 5000mah 50c's

Hi Anythingfast. I'm in the process of pricing out a build (my first) with the Genesis hull from HK. I am a newbie to rc boats. I'm looking at the hull only versus the package for $192 with motor and preinstalled hardware (ok so maybe not really a build but an assemble) If I add the ESC and a few other things to complete this package it's much lower than your asking price. Please don't take this as a cheapshot - I'm simply trying to understand. Are the components you built in of much higher quality and cost than then HK package with the motor and hardware? I'm not sure why I should spend almost double the price for yours. I'm looking for information. I'd appreciate your insights. Thanks

The stock motor in the genesis is junk, it might last a little while but will fail quickly, if you set it up with just a basic esc and the few other things it will run for a little while, but the driveshaft will break seeming how its a 2 piece 4mm, and the motor will fry, hobbyking isn't terribly well known for super high quality parts that they put into their products, that's why basically everything in my build is an upgraded and better part from here, if you wanted I could list out the prices of all the things put into it, with everything that's in this build it will last for a very very long time with simple mantinence like greasing the flex shaft and so on

Thanks, I get what you are saying. I'm still thinking I could run the basic Genesis set up till things fail, swap out a motor and drive line and still be under your price. Sorry to be a pain, just trying to sort things out. Are you firm on your price? Thanks much.

Well here's a number. Doubt you will like it but I figure I can go new from HK with same ESC as yours, upgrade the motor and drive cable and be under $475 delivered. Plus that's all new and warrantied -- maybe not worth much if HK isn't great on customer service. I know you have lots of other upgrades, being a newbie not sure what they get me in the long run. Would you consider $475 shipped? Thanks for your patience with me and for the information helping me understand what you have into your Genesis.
