Was bouncier than usual on no chop whatsoever and blew over at about 50 and I noticed that the lid came off in the process. Boat was upside down and before I could "airboat it in" went sponson up on me. Rescue boat decided to mate with it and poked a hole which in turn let the air out of the sponsons and sunk. Waded out to get it and found it after being submerged for about 5 minutes. Got it back to the shore and everthing was still functional. Got lucky this time. Btw air boat it in means using the prop in the air to "blow the boat" back in. I have done this several times with the Geico, just remember steering is opposite now.......

About your other motor, sounds like your magnets are toast. Might be worth seeing what NEU would rebuild it for.

Oops didn't read far enough into the motor delima. Your magnets are not shot just maybe weakened a little. I'd still check with NEu. How much were you wanting to sell for?

I don't know.... whatever is fair... I paid $210 for it... it has larger bearings then the one I sold you? don't know why? they are about the same age... 1.5yrs ago I bought three of them new.... 2 from FDM... one of the ones from fdm came with the larger bearings which is this one with the cogging issue...motor has no burn smell or anything of the sort...? very little cogging on this motor but runs good still?? wierd... make me an offer if you are desiring it.... I can take pics too.... like I say it has VERY few runs.... was in my mean machine too.... ran as good as any when I took it out and noticed the hardly any cogging issue.....

Neu charges 50 percent of what they sell them for to fix them, iirc. They seem to charge more than Steven also. May check the rebuild cost and go from there? Just a suggestion.

Cool thanks John...worse case scenario they say it will be worth 40% of its original value towards another motor and doesn't need to be the same.... maybe this is a good time to get a 1527 or a 1521.... I need another one as I am planning a Titan 40 build.... I was gonna use a 1717 castle but I want it to be all top notch NEU stuff...lol... the 1521's list for 269.00 and the 1515's list for 249.00 so If I read correctly I can get a 1521 for around 150.00!!
