my piont is, the guy said it was near perfect condition, and when i told him he said he did not see that...............come on!!!Originally posted by westbeach View Postthe damage is not on the rudder as you state, but on the strut. The anodize is definitely worn away, so is a little off the strut itself. You can definitely file it smooth. But pictures tell a different story than the real thing in your hands!

You read me wrong, I agree with you. But it is hard for me to see how much of the strut was worn away just from looking at your picture. Therefore I said, the picture tells a different story than the real thing in your hand. I can't tell how much got worn away from your picture!! understood!??

did the seller offer to refund you? I guess if you didn't feel it was bad enough to get a refund then I would just leave it be, and be happy .... if he didn't offer to refund you in full including shipping costs then shame on the seller....Originally posted by ericspeed View Postthank you, that's my point exactly.
So my vote is if you kept the hardware after he offered you a full refund then it should just be laid to rest.....
I you are just unhappy with the appearance then take easy off and get the entire anodizing off all the hardware then use schimichrome polish and bring it to a nice luster:)

I think you're getting all excited for nothing! The strut is perfectly good and you won't even see that when you have a shaft in it. NO BIG DEAL!Mini Cat Racing USA

I guess if we are are voting on this thing it looks fine to me. Just so long as the shaft turns fine it would seem to be ok and with a prop on it you would not even notice it. I would have probably taken it with not a thought. But, life is short, if you are not happy see if you can get a return done. I would just take it back with you paying the shipping back and then we both lose on shipping cost and call it done.

I agree... I mean it only costs $5 to ship that cross country so you would at most be out $3-4 to ship back... You got a decent deal on the hardware.... The seller could still easily sell it again for what you paid.... I think this thread is kinda like beating a dead horse...?Originally posted by davidb View PostEric,
What do you hope to gleen out of this forum. End result? Shame on seller? OK, Shame on seller!! Move on or send the strut back.

wanted your opinion not a smart ass. If enough agree that seller was wrong for ad posted, then maybe people should know this guy. He's not a man of his word. Just don't want it to happen to the next guy like your self... Remember, not everyone out there is honest..Originally posted by davidb View Posteric,

No offense, but if you're that picky, you should NEVER buy used stuff as you will most likely always find something wrong with it. The strut is perfectly usable and once a prop is on it you will never see the MINOR flaw.
I would suggest that if we need to be put on alert about someone it would be you as a buyer, not the seller of the strut you bought. Life's too short to deal with people so picky because you can NEVER please them!Mini Cat Racing USA
