I could understand where your mad. That is obviously not nearly new!

Whoever sold that as nearly new should take it back and reimburse you for the shipping, especially if its only $4-5. If I was the seller I would be embarrassed for missing something so obvious!

Now you gotta weigh sending it back or keeping it if you got such a good deal.

The anodizing hard coats .001- .004" deep or so. If you file it flat you loose what hardness you had, but it appears to have chewed through that anyhow...

This is exactly why I dont sell anything on OSE anymore. Everyone wants something for nothing, and theres always people bitching about price, trying to low-ball you, saying they were first in line, blah blah blah, Half the people that post, arent even looking to buy but they like to post pointless comments anyway, Ive always tried to help people and be their freind, I feel Ive gone outta my way many times to help people here, and didnt feel like they appreciated any of it.

Im done trying to help, and sell my stuff here, Im moving-on to another site.

Well if i were him, Id take $5 and send it back, otherwise eat it. This is what I mean, crying over a USED strut, Its sounds like the seller is willing to give your money back, so send it back.

I dont blame you for being MAD about it, but Ive bought alot of used stuff, some Im happy with, some Im not, but Im not going to start a thread to CRY about it. Especially when it can all be solved by just sending it back.

LOL....you think its going to be any different anywhere esle?.....its far worse.... people are people....the swap shop here is the best place to get used and new equipment.....no other forum site has as much FE boat equipment to buy, sell and trade and has the turnover we do as OSE NONE...we have more sales and more discussions and topics and help than ANYONE also

Agreed... this is the best boat forum... bar none.... I have gotten more good info on here then anywhere.... and made quite a good number of good deals on the swap shop... never burned.. not yet anyway....

No offense, but if you're that picky, you should NEVER buy used stuff as you will most likely always find something wrong with it. The strut is perfectly usable and once a prop is on it you will never see the MINOR flaw.

I would suggest that if we need to be put on alert about someone it would be you as a buyer, not the seller of the strut you bought. Life's too short to deal with people so picky because you can NEVER please them!

This sums it up the best.
