I was in Wal-mart doing some final Christmas shopping today and stopped by the sporting good dept. to check on prices for trolling motors. They sure aren't giving them away. About $400 for a good Motor Guide model.
Had a thought... why don't we institute a $10.00 per recovery fee to put into a separate trolling motor fund until it raises enough to buy a new one?

LOL, yeah some are over way more than others. We do have two motors. we can clean them up and sell one, buy a new and sell the other, or keep for a back up. I guess we will have to start discussing it ore probably after the 1st when attendance starts back up. Since only 6 people of the club participate on here...

Dues are dirt cheap already. I'd raise them $5 and reserve that $5 for a motor fund.

I'm there, gonna bringing two boats, The Popeye (We'll see if it stays right side up) and my Q Mono (with a better motor in it). Are we gonna try to race or just do a runday? I'm in for raising the dues for the motor fund.
