Sunday is looking like one of those days where winning a heat could be done by just finishing a heat.Originally posted by ron1950 View Posteverything I have is small ...ill just have to go early and fight the chop lol
P mono and above should be ok but it will be really interesting for LSH. I won't worry about prepping my twin Cheetah for it either.

The front straight is usually fairly flat with a south wind. It's the back straight that may blow you over, and if the wind is really hitting the 18 mph predicted, you could wind up retrieving your boat from the far bank of the lake.

I hear ya on that one Chris. I've prepped a few boats but haven't started charging packs yet. With that much wind I don't know if you would make it back to shore with the way the motor has been running lately.Originally posted by osprey21 View Post
Anybody have a 20hp motor we can put on the retrieve boat?
I'll leave decision with the general opinion, but would just as soon call it a blowout myself.

If it's gonna be that bad why bother....... we're gonna spend most of the time retrieving boats and probably have to rescue the rescue boat too!!

It's the thought about having to rescue the rescue boat that bothers me most. (especially since there's a good chance I'd be the one sitting in it at the time). With wind speeds predicted, I really don't think it would be able to make any headway against it for the return to shore.Originally posted by flraptor07 View PostIf it's gonna be that bad why bother....... we're gonna spend most of the time retrieving boats and probably have to rescue the rescue boat too!!
I'd suggest monitoring the conditions today since tomorrow is supposed to be a clone of it. If they really get that high today, I'd rather not go. Another alternative would be to run on the north side of the lake. No markers and it will be choppy, but a least the wind would blow your boat back to shore pretty quick.
I'll call for the vote now. Who WILL be there tomorrow regardless of the weather conditions? If I don't see at least 5 that will come regardless, I'm not going to show.

I will be there as I have some boats to distribute. Although Im probably not going to bring any of my own. A couple members have asked for my assistance on tweaking so Im gunna play pit man tomorrow. If I can get back home early enough today I may charge a set for something, don't know yet what that may be for...
Chris, are you ready for the Pursuit? if so Ill carbon it tonight as I haven't got around to it yet.
And to all other members, I got my TFL order in a few weeks ago as some of you knew about. Ive got a Pursuit hull left w/ hardware (not installed), Daytona (glass and carbon) w/ or without hardware, mini zondas glass and carbon, these are the 26" versions of the 32" EKOS/ HOTR/ Rivercat/ Apparition etc etc. Ive also got a few carbon Shockers from Tenshock if anyones looking for a nice SAW boat.
Rich I will be there with the Cheetah.
