Hi all, I intend to drive to the 301 location today about 2pm. I will advise of my observation as continuing at Ackerman in light of the wind outs we must deal with. Having a pond with good parking and better wind protection would be great for our club.

Thanx Ray, That does look good, also enough room on the back side for saw passes. I haven't heard from him yet.

It's for sure bigger than I thought it was and looks like it might be sheltered from the wind better than Ackerman as well. From the sat image it looks like getting to the water might be a little harder though.

If we do get the ok, it's going to take a little work to clear a portion of the bank for access. At one end there are some nice trees to get in the shade and we'll probably be able to build a shelter and a driver stand if it goes the way I'm thinking it might. I've known the man that owns it since I was a kid, my grandfather and I used to work on his airplane.
