Here's something a little different. One of the little Hobby King "Skipper" amphibians that I picked up a couple of weeks ago when they finally came in stock from the US warehouse. This was actually a 4 minute flight but it was hard for the camera to keep up with it in the overcast condition of the skies today. It wanted to go invisible and overall, Dave did a pretty good job on capturing my 1st attempt at flying from the water.
Chris' big S-T hydro. It didn't handle the tumble on the back stretch really well. Kind of separated the seam between the hull and the deck in the front. Dave shot this video too since the hydro departed as soon as I landed.
Considering that Chris is pretty new to the RC boating scene, he's been bitten by the bug pretty hard. Here he is with his Popeye's hydro. I think it's a P sport.
Hey Dave. I just watched the video of the Avenger and counted laps. When you said that's about 7, it was really on lap 10.
One things for sure. It could make an "official" 4 minute heat with that setup.

The Popeye is much better with those cutouts behind the sponsons, those couple times when it came out of the water 4 to 6 inches it would have been on it's back the way it used to be. It's deffinetly a lot tighter now, not near as floaty in the nose.

Sure was 10 laps Bill. Must have been sleeping on that one. With the temps and all I think it could take a larger prop.

I think we must have both been napping Dave. I thought it was about that too.
Good thing that last run of P that Doug and I ran didn't get taped. I'd hate to see how many laps that one was. He was pretty much running off and leaving me until his packs started sagging so it had to be a bunch of them.
Ya Bill my batteries were toast good thing I pulled it when I did! On that first run I had way to much dual rate in my radio it kept wanting to cut the turn had to turn it down to 35% to make go around nice and smooth on the 2nd run!
