Hey guys I figured out why my 8th scale hydro wouldn't turn today, it was pilot error. I forgot to change my radio from the Popeye hydro to the 8th scale. I have the EPAs down in the 60s and the speed slowed down for the Popeye, that don't work for the BIG BOAT!!

Yes sir! I got some dialing in to do on it. Adjust the strut, Square the turn fin, and then try it again. It was running nose high, tail burried and it was real twitchy, the least little bit of left correction would roll it.Originally posted by ron1950 View Postdid u run the popeye today?

I was running really wide, I will also have to calm it down in the turns, I have an idea for that.Originally posted by bill34207 View Post
It ran 79 sec. for the 6 laps
My "P" Sport record is 100 sec.
That is 21 sec. faster then the record.

Water at Ackerman was a lot choppier than we thought it was going to be today, but we still ran some boats.
Rich's friend (who's name I can't remember) brought his Spartan out today to run with Rich. Fully equipped with hauler and reverse in the boat.

Finally getting my Avenger cat dialed in with the Neu 1530 1Y. Prop is a Prather S235 7 full laps and everything was still nice & cool. (less than 120 F)
I wanted to run with Rich's Spartan but his developed problems about the time we started.

Keith driving his MHZ twin "JBS" until one of the collets let go and sent the flex shaft to the bottom of the lake.
That concludes today's video entertainment.

Wind and water conditions were actually pretty good at Ackerman today. The heavy overcast and light drizzle when we 1st got there didn't slow down the boating time though.
1st up today. A full 4 minute plus heat for my Avenger. No overheat issues but it's not really all that fast. Thanks Dave for running the camera.

A round of LSO. I think these guys were moving as fast as the Avenger was.
