Last one today.
Third run of Ray's new Blast Cat. Still more prop, X457
These breezy days at Ackerman seem to have a way of converting people to larger boats since they are about that you can run when the weather is like this.

Actually its an old boat reborn. Used to run it in p but never was happy with it. Now has a fightercat offshore 240 esc and a tp 4082 2200. Has a couple gremlins but pretty pleased with itOriginally posted by bill34207 View PostScott's new P mono Pursuit. Yeah, I missed getting that one. Don't remember exactly what I was doing at the time it was running. Is that a true Pursuit hull or is it one of the FC "Bling Rocket's"? I'm getting ready to build myself another P mono after the little incident that happened later in the day. I had a lead over Larry when my DF33 took a bad hop off a wave and hooked right in front of Larry's boat. His didn't take much damage but it caved in the side of the DF and knocked the hatch off it. Luckily the hull was still right side up and I made a bee line for the shore with it so nothing inside got water damaged. I'm not going to try to repair the hull though. Hey, I have a perfectly good DF 33 hatch to sell at our swap meet next Sunday if anybody needs one.Originally posted by tiqueman View PostYeah Shawn Im liking it so far. unfortunately I dont think my twin cheetah got any camera time. Thanks Shawn. Glad you are enjoying our vids.

No worreis Bill. There wll be plenty of other times.
Its the Pursuit I bought about 2 years ago. Same boat I used to race against you in P mono... And same boat I ran when you and Chris were here at the house when we ran in the rain. But the Bling is the EXACT same hull made by the same manufacturer. I have A white Bling here as well that will be going at the swap but its ARTR so not worth it if you have all the hardware from your current damaged boat that has Speedmaster stuff.
IMO the DF is a better handling hull in the corners, from what Ive seen. The Pursuit/ Bling hooks a lot. You really have to be gentle with it in the corners. Id go DF again, but its your call.

I'm not going to post the photos I shot today here. I got enough photos in my bucket here already that I hate to keep burning up bandwidth. They're in our thead on RCG though if anyone wants to see them. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...634006&page=14
I took a little aerial tour around the place around 10:00 or 10:30 (I think)
Typical Ackerman day with the winter "breeze".I'd guess about 10 mph at the time.

At least it wasn't 30 degrees like the 1st one we tried
