ill keep a eye out for that forcast....we have the same problem in ms with the wind direction....its flat as a board with a 10mph wind if its out of the south and 3 foot rollers if its out of the north

The winds forecaster hasn't quite made it to the weekend yet but if the typical pattern holds true should be a decent day since it's not a scheduled race day.

For Sunday I'm seeing winds out of the south (which is the best possible direction) around 10mph at sun up and rising to 18mph about noon with a 40% chance of T-storms late in the day.

Larry is still here - I believe I heard him say he was leaving in April.

LOL you are eager aren't you? The av site hasn't quite made it to Sunday yet and that's usually the run day. I'd almost rather have it coming from the north than out of the east. Mostly because there's a lot of trees growing in the edge of the water on the west bank and if it blows a boat into them before you can get to it with the recovery boat it's a real pain to get to them at all.
Saturday is not looking that good right now. Out of the east at around 9 mph early and kicking up to 17 from the se by 1:00. Hoping Sunday will look better.

Now I'm having doubts about Sunday. The winds look better than they have been all week but now Fox 13 has bumped the t-storm chances to early morning.
I'll let Ron & Chris make the call since Chris brings the boat and Ron has the long drive.
I could actually stand to take a weekend off myself. Hoping I'm not catching the flu (5 of our phone people were out today from it). I started feeling crappy about 2:00 this afternoon but kind of think it may be the oak pollen. Somebody decided to turn off the a/c today and open the doors. The winds been ripping pretty good all day and we have 3 or 4 large oaks along the front of our parking lot.
Not feverish or achy but my upper chest feels like it has a sore throat.

Also I don't think there is any reason to bother the county about what we are doing at Akerman, i'm sure they know already... It's like poking a stick at a hornets nest, nothing good will come out of it . The lake was mandated for RC Boat use.(We are supposed to be there, as always) as the old addage goes, if it aint broke don't fix it...

bill its up to cris id say as he has to do the real work......funny i watched ch 8 i think it was and they said t storms after noon...lets wait till tomorrow night to decide as fronts slow and stall sometimes....
