I will chime in and say that when I video'd one of the heats, it came up as picture, I shut the whole thing down, turned it back on, hit the red button and it said record and showed the action in the eye piece and didnt say "still frame" anymore. If it did only shoot pics and nothing came out, then your camera is rubish and you should get a new one. perhaps I just suk! I cant remember if I filmed that race or not.. I want to say I did not film the DF41 though....????

Bill, how did the hydro run look on film? Did the 2 blow overs come out well?

I had a great time today. Geico is showing it has a lot of potential. Few more tweeks and she'll be pretty competitive. Genesis...., I gotta quit getting off the throttle in the turns. As we all know from what we saw today, it'll hook badly when doing so. And ends up prop side up.

I think Im going to pop one of the 1520 1600KVs in her for the next meet. She needs a bit more ummpphh to hang w/ you guys.

Great day today! Good turnout and the new guys have some real cookin' boats! Welcome to Tiqueman as our newest member! I had a great day as the only mishap was a broken flexshaft in my Spec Tunnel OB! Cool!

We discussed going to Akerman mid December just like we did this weekend because our normal run date would have been Thanksgiving weekend. Mid December run will let us avoid the Christmas weekend also.

I had so much fun I forgot to bring up a club meeting with several items to discuss! One topic is we need a 'snowbird' dues structure. We have some great snowbirds who need to join to satisfy the conditions for our use of the lake. I propose that we charge the snowbirds $25 for up to 6 months (our regular dues are $50/year) and a nominal first time initiation fee of maybe $10 instead of the normal $50. Comments anyone. Chime in there snowbirds! We need to know your thoughts.

Next run we need to have more organized heats so we can begin tuning up our racing skills for the Winter Nats and the FE Nats next June in Fort Pierce! We did run some heats today but since Ray didn't show up with the countdown CD, We had to wing it.

Great day though! Good fun. Unbelievable nice bunch of guys!! Special thanks to Osprey for his bringing the retrieve boat and Bill for taking care of putting out the signs.

You're not guilty Scott. Working on uploading the 1st video and processing #4 right now. Think the LSH heat came out pretty good overall. Still haven't gotten to the 2nd LSH heat.
Just couldn't not having the fastest Genesis could you. That 1520 should put it in the same ball game though. Course were still going up against 1527's on 6s 2p setups in Q. Kinda like bringing a knife to a gunfight.

Thanks Jim. I enjoyed it. All members of this club are great. The willingness to help one another out, share ideas and experience... far superior than any other r/c racing gatherings Ive ever attended. Thank you to all the members for a great day on the water.

I lost two motors and a hatch today but I was so happy with the way the Jae rigger ran that it didn't bother me. Good to see the new guys helping to grow our club. Can't wait for the next meet.

hey larry how did they run today? we had some rough water here today about like the big ripples in the pic with the nostalgia hydro flying......finally flipped the geigo..put a 1800 in it and its doing pretty well but run time is down to about 6 min which is cool and no heat problem yeaaaa. stiletto is cooking with its new prop thanks again....best part was useing the proboat retrival duck to pull in the flipped boats.....

Everything ran good today.
I tried that new prop on my P Sport.
I did not even get a full lap in.( front end up and over)
The new prop has so much push it lifted the front end up, I could not get off the throttle in time.
I will lower the strut too reduce the angle of attack of the front end.

I hope it is not too much prop for the boat.
Once I can get 4 good laps in I will check the temps.

Sorry about the hatch Hugh. That probably came from our little get together over at marker 3. I wound up with some battle scars on my Genesis too from where sailr and me got together, and blew up either a motor or esc in my DF33.
Still had a great time and looking forward to the 2nd Sunday in December when we do it again.

Uh OH... do you mean I blew up a motor or ESC in your 33???? Thats no good at all.
Hugh, I sent you a PM.. lemme know if you need any help on the repair or if you want a replacement hatch made up.

LOL I'm taking the credit for it. It ceased to function later in the day coming in from a 2 minute run to pull down my last set of packs. Did you order yourself a P boat yet?

I wondered who I tangled with! No damage to my boat so couldn't check the color of the paint chips! ;-) . I just remember happily going around a turn and suddenly my boat was airborne!
