Yes, Akerman is the 26th. Let's hope it's cooled off a little by then. You guys nearby bring a shovel. Let's whittle that bank down some more for easier access!

I was going to have a 1/10th scale Coors Light built for me. Bought the laser kit and had it sent to the builder. In the meantime, I found a carbon fiber hull and cowl (more money) so decided to buy it instead.
So, the kit is for sale! I thought I'd offer it here first before the swap shop. Trying to recoup my actual cost, $220. Beautiful kit WITH the sheeting.Mini Cat Racing USA

Same here.Originally posted by bill34207 View PostI'm game for Ackerman anytime we can have a retrieve boat there.
And Bill, I live in NW Bradenton (34209) so I'm probably only a few minutes from you, plus I have the retrieve boat (and homemade oars) the club bought from hippie. Just let me know whenever you want to go down there.

My 1/10th scale vintage hydro I bought from Rod Sonata came today. OMG! It is absolutely beautiful! This guy is one hell of a builder. Wait til you see it guys! I'll bring it to Akerman but won't be running it. Have to add motor. Didn't get a shaft so I have to get back to him on what I need. I know it was set up for a wire drive.Last edited by sailr; 09-14-2010, 09:00 AM.Mini Cat Racing USA

We'll be at Ackerman park Sunday the 26th, come on out.Originally posted by poobs View PostWhere do you guys meet and where ? I see there are two lakes that you frequent.
My young son and I have a couple of boats and would enjoy watching and learning ...
Nothing too serious or competitive yet just in a learning curve.
Thanks
