Guys,
Will there be open water prior to Monday? When are we allowed in the pit area to set-up?
Thx,

There are no plans for that. I doubt anyone will be there on Sunday. Saturday is setup day. That will be near riot conditions with all hands on deck for our club.Originally posted by RaceMechaniX View PostGuys,

Thx, I may stop by Saturday or Sunday pending work to check out the location. If I have time I can lend a hand.

The retrieve boat will likely be locked up...............ya know what, I shouldn't even speculate. A rest day? Lost my mind. Must have bumped my head on somebodies giant ego.
Thinking on it, I'll be setting up my camp that Sunday too so it may be totally fine. I'll check with Elks.
We just have to be really aware. Everyone is on board but we're already tying up the lake for the locals for nearly a week straight during prime water playing season. They've been fishing the lake almost every day and for sure will want to be on the pond that they own the rights to on the weekends. Speculation my part but if it was my pond I wold want to be on it all the time. It's NOT my pond and I want to be on it all the time. They've pulled out some man sized pike from the pond. Go figure. Maybe we should fish instead.
I think we should play it by ear at this point.
On a side note: all that time we spent on the water Sunday gave Tom and I a chance to actually look at the water. The harsh winter has really played out in our favor. The vegetation is way behind this year. Visibility under water must be 10 ft. No floating unidentifiable weed blobs from the black lagoon. Had to fight the urge to pull a Mike Ball and pretend to fall out of the boat to get cool.Noisy person
