Delta Force 35" First test, Fail!

I'm just putting some pic's up on the "digout" on the build thread so you can see what I was trying. I now seem to think the 1/4 tube with no teflon sounds good, how do you attach the 1" of 7/32 as the bushing?

I flared out one end of it so it would not slip down into the 1/4 inch tube and then put a drop of CA glue on it and inserted it into the end of the 1/4 inch tube.
Get the stuffing tube set up and with a little trimming you are going to have one nice boat. As I said you are doing better then I have on some of my first runs!

Props smaller than 45mm are inefficient for this hull, their thrust cone is too small. Put the x450 on and run the boat for no more than one minute - use a stopwatch! Bring the boat in and check the temperatures on the motor, ESC and packs. That setup should give speeds in the mid-50s in a well set up boat.

I've done what marko500 suggested with the 7/32 tube glued into the 1/4" brass, it's all bent to shape and I've now made a ply board that I intend to fix to the three 5mm ply uprights that remain from my first attemp. This board has a cutout section just over 1/4" for the tube to come up through and I intend fixing two supports, 1 on the end of the tube and the other between the end and where the tube comes up through the ply.
