if I can get 2-3 min runs I'm content. The room in this hull is small so I couldn't go with a lower kv and higher volt. So I went higher kv lower volt..I mean if I'm correct so hopefully that motor will pack a lunch on 4s
I liked 3 blade props on it.
X440/3 and my favorite the grim L40/57/3.
Of course that one sucks to balance and sharpen, and is useless unless it's done nicely

There's a hole at the center of earth where the rest of the world sinks but i stand still...
Make sure that LONG motor has plenty of rear support, may be a wedge under the can? The stock motor mount/bracket is easy to flex and if it is bent, the alignment of the collet and cable will be out and you have excessive binding in your drive line.
Personally I see no real advantage on the oversize motor btw. You'll be turning close to the same rpm as stock, the only gain is torque, which is only useful if you can run bigger props. IME the handling suffers greatly with anything more than the 40-45 mm props at 1.4 pitch, it really starts to walk the rear end, and there's not much rudder there to counter it.
Also, you can support the motor all you want, my concern would be that the mount will rip the hull open on a hard hit because of the weight. It's also going to be real tough to get on plane with all that extra weight.
I have had to bend the motor bracket back to its original shape EVERYTIME I flipped my boat, and that's with the stock motor, I got so tired of it and made my own mount. The base of the mount is to spread the load as the floor is very flexible. My boat is not the so-called "first" batch, the turn fin area weakness had already been addressed, so may be later version ( if there is such a thing) had also addressed the flexible floor. It is rock solid and I can grab the boat by the motor w/o worrying any alignment issues.

Reason: spelling
Note that this is the only mount that does not increase the width of the motor, the other popular mount ( cooler mount with side rails) is so wide that you won't be able to fit any batteries in it.
