    Dennis,
    I will send some pictures with the cowl off. I did make a few modifications, mainly lightening up the hull by drilling out much of the excess wood in the frames. I did leave the cowl in one piece. Search this build thread on OSE or google: 1/8th Scale Circus Circus FE Build. Mike is a member here and this thread has many great ideas.

            nice! thanks for the pictures! that helps a lot! sorry to ask so many questions. is that the cowl mounting points in the front and the rear?

              Yes, those are the cowl mount points. One in front and one each side in the "T" shaped bracket near the exhaust stack. By raising it up in back, it makes taping much easier.
