Nope if you recall, that x452 went at the bottom of the sea with my stock flex. I have on the OSE HD flex with stock prop. Let me take a picture quick.

I thought you may have gotten another x452. I'm not an electronics expert but I think from what I have read, you can solder on a new capacitor pack and be good to go. Maybe even better than stock if you were to increase it's capacity. Definitely don't take my word on this though. Research it.

Did this happen with the stock prop? I'm sure you know the caps store power and release it when the ESc sees a load. When runing in rough water, the prop loads and unloads very quickly and if the system is requiring more power than what the caps can provide, then you have ailure. That is the risk of runing in rough water.

The ESc will still work. Just add a cap bank just befoe the wores enter the case and you will be back up and running in no time. If I were you, I would add 6 caps just to be safe, considering the condiions you run in.

Rafael, thanks again for chiming in. Yes stock prop. I NO longer run in rough salt water. All my last runs were done in d river with little to no chop. I will see if I can get a cap bank locally. I'm no good with electronics. Can you maybe point me to what you are talking about or a recommendation. As you know I'm not in the US and to wait a week or two for something like this can get irritating. Do you think maybe the puffed up battery caused this or this caused the pack to get puff?

You can see what OSE sells here. Several at the bottom of the page. I'm not sure what's available close to you.: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...SC+Accessories

Thanks arrover. I can only assume I need to match the specs on the stock packs with any offered on that link. I will try first to see if I can get it locally because it sucks having to wait almost 2 weeks for that tiny little part.

What's the specs on the stock voracity ESC caps? I found some locally that are 1500mf, 105 C, 16v. Will that work for me?

They are 35V 470UF. I'd try and find something similar to the Castle cap bank, Etti cap bank, or any other cap bank OSE sells.

Thanks Rafael, it seems I will just bite the bullet and order them. We don't have stores like Radioshack and the likes here which makes this a pain!

If you can solder, you can add a cap bank. Here is the castle one http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...as-011-0002-02

Dont feel alone. We no longer have Radioshack here in California either.

Yes but you have alternative stores, No Lowes, No Menards, No Home Depot, No dedicated electrical stores. To be on the safe side I'll just order and wait this out. At least the Zelos is still running. I will upload vids of those runs tomorrow.

No problem. Like Rafael stated, OSE store carries a few other cap banks as well. Just search capacitor in the OSE store they'll all come up.
