    Do I Cut Them?

I am upgrading Stiletto with Hyperformance Flex shaft and 3.5 Bullet Shaft Assembly:

    http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=hpi-dc1563s2
Looks like the flex is a little longer than stock.
Do I need to cut the flex or is it going to work fine the way it is?
    Thanks
    Robert

i did the same upgrade on my stiletto, you may need to chop a very little bit off the shaft, i am lucky hyperpeformance is only 20 mins down the road so i went to see them and he has a flex shaft there that fits without chopping it if u ring them and ask for the flex shaft with the dark spiral line on it it fits a treat. have you done the brass tube instead of the teflon?? if not i reconmend you do, if u look back at darin's set up bit in here he tells you how to do it and it really does make the difference.

you could also make the flat on the motor shaft longer and move the collet
