that is helpful! i can see where you removed the wood, you also removed the battery trays didn't u? and then in the bottom pic you put them back. what did u cover up the hole with and is the wood painted with regular paint?

I used a piece of the wood that I cut out to do the infill.Then went over it with glazing putty a couple of times till it was smooth and hit it with regular Tamiya white.There is also provision built in so that a T-180 can be installed such as mine on the left with a zip tie.

With the wood trimmed down I can get my turnigy 40c 5000ma 4s's in the hull pretty easily!
What size batteries and how many do you guys have?
I have 4- 4S turnigy 40C 5000ma and
4-2S turnigy 40c 5000ma batts.

Can you post a pic of how you mounted your t180? Does it clear the turbine hatch?

what's the technique in removing the wood? do you heat it up and lift?
