Hey mac, have u seen the new flysky gt3c? Pretty nice looking and resolves several issues the gt3b had, namely trim limit of 30, unless u had the unofficial firmware applied applied. Which I did of course.

Yup, somebody in our local hobby circle is selling the "C" and I almost bought (less than $50) but I have the "B" anyway and just bought a Futaba 4pl with 5 receivers in Jim's Dock.
Jump over the GT-4 thats coming! Heck, maybe an app would be developed for the iPhone in the near future! hehehehe

Hahaha - I knew somebody would think it was for me. Not all that I post is about me or something that I would have a vested interest in. It was merely a topic for discussion seeing that a trend of using gas boats for FE use is growing. Besides, the Komodo is not something you will say that exists at this very moment - now would you? :)

BTW - I received an email from R2hobbies. It seems they are now selling receivers for Spektrum users so check it out. Im also eagerly awaiting for FlySky to make something compatible with Futaba as I wouldnt mind buying a $7 rx compared to a $60 rx.

What receivers? Are you talking about the clone spektrum receivers for planes like the orange receivers from HK?

just installed the alum front shock tower and let me tell you it was a perfect fit and looks amazing!
also re-greased the ring gear & pinion w/ white lithium grease and changed all the bearing for avid revolutions

what grease would you recommend for diff & ring gear/pinion?

UPDATE: just called traxxas, they recommend white lithium grease for the ring gear/pinion assembly & 30k weight oil for diff

Is there a black antenna mount on the hull?I don't think you are going to need a stuffing tube.And have you decided whether or not to keep the wood?If you keep the wood you don't need a servo mount and will just need the stock steering rod.I personally, would keep the wood in there.It is adequite stiffening for the tunnel and is useful to attach things(ESC) to.

I agree with Srislash,, the wood inner frame is pritty nice to have, as for my Slash diffs i have never done anything to them i gess i should thow,, heres the pics of the overtray.. Ill PM you and we can talk about a price.

well, i was thinking of removing the wood and laying down cf sheets. i saw tiqueman's interior on one of his boats, it looked very nice all cf. i can always do that in the future right?
do i not need to reinfornce the hull at all? i thought that was the general consensus. also, would this change the type of motor mount i need?
