I have heard of guys running the 1515 on 6s but I don't know about amps.I was hitting 185 amps with a M445,not sure with the X645 that is on it now.Originally posted by macdon View PostThats right! I dunno what I was thinking - it should've been 4s. I was also considering a 1500kv motor which would work on 6s. Got both mixed up I guess.
Did I see that one of you's got a 1717?You could run a 1/4 shaft that is cut down to 3/16.

There is my rudder. That is probably the same as the one you found and like you say, for twins.

I found something similar to that pic of your rudder from HOR Racing in HK. Here's the description:
It doesnt have any measurements, so I emailed Johnny Cheung. Havent gotten a reply yet. There's no pic in the page, however I think this would be it.Attached Files

I went to HK and checked out the pics of their Genesis and it's rudder looks like the inline rudder I got from R2hobbies for my MG. However, that rudder is only 115mm (4.5") long. I dunno if sellers of these inline rudders have possibly swapped the 115mm rudder to something longer and used it for the Genesis. Could you possibly measure the vertical length of your Genesis rudder, Jerry?Originally posted by HYDROJERRY View Postthe inline rudder you shown i have on my Genesis and i took the same rudder setup and removed the strut and cut the bracket short and installed it on my twin,,,

I saw alot of those inline rudders being sold in ebay & other websites and all are 115mm long. However, the rudder length in Jerry's pic above shows the rudder a bit longer. Maybe they've swapped it? ...............either that or my eyes are playing tricks on me! hahaha!

Okay, I think I got it (maybe) - the Genesis rudder and the common 115mm rudders may have the same brackets - but the rudder blades are different. Going over HK Genesis pics and Jerry's pics above - the water inlet for the rudder is further down near the edge, while the common 115mm rudders have the inlets a bit higher. This concludes a swap ............ or I just need sleep! hahahaha!

Oh,hey,Jason.I picked up another 1515 today with MM ESC for $160.Think it'll power this 37" Cat
And Mac,I think the 150 rudder that I have is gonna be a bit much.I may be cutting her down.
