so can i run my 3's lipos with the castle creations 240a esc

so what im hearing is i need to get smaller batteries with a 180a esc correct??

yes smaller batteries 2s you will need 2 of them to, make it a 4s set up. and get a smaller prop as well or you will create to much amp draw and you will also blow up your esc because of this. get the x442 prop the one you are using is way to big.

with the set up im using i still can not use full throttle in a straight line you will be surprised.

No, you cant. 2200kv is WAY too hot for 6s.

get a set of turnigy there cheap and do just as good of job these are the ones i use they come with bullet connectors but i like to use the traxxas connectors only because i have a heap of them sitting around, but they can be difficult to soldier on to the 8 awg leads if you dont no how.

as rumdog said before no you cant because your motor is to high kv if you changed your motor to a lower kv like a 1500kv or less then yes you can use the batteries so its a catch 22 keep motor and change batteries or keep batteries and change motor and cooling jacket

Are you using the esc from an e revo?

Was there even a GPS in the hull on the "50" mph run? Speeds are deceiving by eye. If you're using a 2200kv motor, which you have, you don't need a 240amp speedo-unless that's just what you want. There is nothing to gain from it. You should get TWO 2s 5000 mAh 40-50c packs and run them in series. Or, buy TWO 4s 5000mah 40-50c and run them in parallel. Read the Miss.Gieco threads to get you going on a prop size. Simple. There's your answers.

ok well no im not using the e-revo esc,, no i did not have it gps ed i got some venom 5000mah 7.4v 40c i think ill try.. can i use my motor if i get a 240a esc if i run the smaller batteries?

You can use your motor with another 180 esc on two 2S packs in series to make 4S. Or two 4S packs in parallel for greater mAh that equal 4S. With a x442 prop and you should be good to go

Yes. You should get the 240amp esc. I'd get a Castle or a Schulze esc. If getting a Castle, post a WTB for 240hv, not the new Hydra Ice. Good luck to you.

No problem. The new Hydra Ices aren't proven. Get the older 240hv. They never blow.

ok now what if i get a 240a or the 180a esc and run my same batteries but if i run it in parallel would i be able to run my old lipos (3's)

Yep. Get the 240 and you can use any packs you like.
