Does the top of the motor pry off or twist off?

No , the motor stay intact , just the bearing balls was gone ! i made an investigation to find the balls in the motor and nothing ! I found some in the hull ! lol

Ah good thing !! Did you notice a change when cornering the boat after you had sharp and balance the props ?? Mine need more room to turn after i did the sharp and balance on my props !!??

I should of specified. My bad, I was referring to how do you get in the motor to replace bearings. I have already loose all but one screw (usual case) but after I get the last one out, is it a matter of popping it off or twist? Also I assume the collet and whatever that piece it's on is called needs to be removed as well?

When you remove all the six small screw arond the head , i just pull the cap with the shaft of the rotor with a plier , it came out easily , but i was lucky , some time they are very hard to remove !

[Erroneous]

So over the weekend I noticed I had a minor bend in a prop blade on the right side. Must have hit something. Bent the blade back smothed the edge and ballanced (fingers crossed). Was just investigating everything and discovered my hull is cracked at the mounting for the strut. Will be pulling the struts and fixing the crack with marine epoxy and adding some metal backer plates inside. Also planning on taking Darins pointers and drilling out the struts to add the octura lead teflon bushings. Will be working a set of abc 1814 3 blade props too. Its going to be a long summer.

Thanks Erroneous, I can't get the bearings locally so I'll have to order them, I'll also order the servo for the Voracity as well but would rather "upgrade" it. Any suggestions not over $30? More than ever now I need the Voracity back on the water.

As far as bearings go http://www.bocabearings.com/ I have used them for decades, they have everything.....most time, even the model set in some cases

what make are those? and have you tried the X447's?

I tried that site but Proboat seems to have no kits on their site. Hoping Rafael will chime in on the right size for Voracity. Still awaiting response from horizon hobby.

They are ABC. And yes the 447s detongued on stock electronics gave me mid 60s, got mid 70 with em after full mod. The abc 1715s gave me 84 with less diameter. My opinion, the x442s are the safest to run on stock. Almost the same speed as the 447s as the motors are allowed to rev out better. Could be just me.
