Octura props fit kinda tight on the stock drive dog, it's an ok upgrade over the stock prop. My favorite prop for the SV is the Grimracer 42x55. A prather 215 or 220 work good too (WATCH YOUR TEMPS with the prathers). I would get that prop you have sharpend & balanced. If you dont know how to sharpen a prop Chuck here on the forum does an AWESOME job. Also give the CF props a try like a CF42 or CF45, their cheap and work great.Originally posted by Driggs View Postwill a OCTURA metal X440 -3 work good on the stock supervee? i got one today but i didnt realize your suppose to sharpen them, it seems pretty sharp but are you suppose to make them like knife sharp?

For most applications the sharper the better. And thinned too. A 440 is a pretty good prop on a stock SV27 setup. Especialy if you go up from 4S to 5S. But the Grim series are every bit as good. Look at the 642 and even a larger 645 when using the stock mtr/esc. Those can run get a SV27 scoot'n right along providing its not running wet.Originally posted by Driggs View Postwill a OCTURA metal X440 -3 work good on the stock supervee? i got one today but i didnt realize your suppose to sharpen them, it seems pretty sharp but are you suppose to make them like knife sharp?
