I replaced my stock prop with a grim racer L40x57 today and it will not get on a plane, even after hand launching several times. Do i need to bend the shaft????

Lower the strut to approximately 1 1/8". With larger or more agressive props you will need to adjust and tune the strut.

The prop also needs to be very well sharpened and balanced

Balanced and sharpened the prop. Lowered strut and it's better. just seems that I have to start out slow and let it build speed. Before with the stock prop i could tap throttle, let the front bounce and when it coumes back up hit WOT and instant speed. I might have to play with the adjutments some more.

The L40x57/3 has to be very VERY well sharpened. If its not razor sharp it will give you issues. Keep trying it, once it hooks il for you its wicked fast.Originally posted by flyingjunky View PostCould not get it to plane yesterday. No matter what i did it just would not lift.
