Providing the motor size is adequate for your hull (Im not too familiar with the TP Motors). For sport running for a couple minutes, 4S with a prop in the 40-45 mm range would be much better on a motor in that KV range. For a few quick SAW passes on 6S I would still stay in the low 40 mm range because your RPM's on that motor on 6S will be very high. And that's providing your ESC can handle the amps.Mike Chirillo

I ran a Castle 1515/1Y (2200 Kv) motor on 6S in my SAW recordholding 32" cat, and with a Prather 235 (about like an x550) ran near 90 mph with spikes of 350 amps. An x457 would spike well over 450 amps with an average around 350 amps - my guess anyway. Don't do it.Anyone know about how many amps will the X457 prop pull?

On a twin I would expect around 480A if the motor was actually capable of it, more on a single.

No one can tell you that man. I've had the strut placement drop me almost 10mph. Invest in a data logger and gps to know these answers.
