I meant the whole pkg, setup and actually running it, other than that the building part is pretty much at an end

thinking should start with that 3500 KV motor offerd on zipkits and a higher amp ESC, kit prop and already have a strong rudder servo..............what Im curious about is how are these things cooled cause Im not seeing hoses running anywhere thanx for the link

The motors are air cooled since they are outrunners. You can try to run a water line but it's tight in there for the ESC, but if you use a high enough amp ESC you don't need the ESC to be water cooled as your run time will not last as long to heat anything up to need it; unless you run a big prop and or something is not setup well and the whole setup drags. I have the 3500KV one from them and am not impressed. I'm already looking to upgrade to 3700kv or 3800Kv. Even the one's I stated on HK that are Scorpion's for $19.00 are better! http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...corpion-MotorsLast edited by SweetAccord; 10-04-2015, 03:59 PM.

So if I get the 3700 KV type and use the stock kit prop then a 60A ESC should be sufficient w/o water cooling, that sound right?

Um, well, uh, cough....... you didn't sand off the sides to be even with the sponsons? Guess you were looking for a low speed setup like Paul said?Originally posted by riversidedan View Postthe build is pretty much done just looking for a motor so I can glue the drive tube in and get this mother in the water

Just to muddy the waters.... The original design of the JAE had overhang on the sides.....Originally posted by SweetAccord View PostAll the sides are supposed to be flat with the sponson.

Which was then realized over time was not the best design, hence why it was changed for better handling and speed. If that don't matter to you or anyone, then just go run it and enjoy.Originally posted by longballlumber View PostJust to muddy the waters....
