its is made for boating...although it could be used for other purposes, its primary purpose is for rc boats...rc-hydros is the name of the company that prodeces the esc, not that its just meant for rc hydroplane boats, just in case you were thinking it was...

try setting your end point adjustments(EPA) to 125% full throttle, (or what ever the max epa is on your radio) and the brake all the way to zero, se if that helps, sounds like its not seeing neutral for a few seconds.

Adjusting the trim seems like the issue. Also what size receiver pack are you using?

couple of questions fer ya Dave. where abouts do you run(or are planning to run) your boat(s)? if you can make it...the Madison area fast electrics are thinking of running this sunday(june10) in mazo perhaps we can get it sorted out.
did you set the throttle(tx) to reverse?

                            weather permitting somewhere around 11:00ish.
can't help thinking its prolly something simple we're overlooking...like connecting the main power to the esc(though if the esc has a bec its thats out, since you said you had steering).

maybe the esc to rx plug is upsidown (happened to be before...) put it in the right channel, but plug it in upsidown..
