ok I've read the manual...it sounds like the esc isn't getting a signal it recognizes. so forgive me for being simplistic, but I know all to well how easy it can be to focus in one thing and overlook the (in hindsight) obvious.
boat set-up
make sure that the esc is plugged in correctly(with my futaba rx the darkest wire is nearest the outside edge).
if your esc is equipped with a 'battery elimination circut(bec) skip the following
is the rx pack charged? plugged in? switch on?
main motor pack charged?(and hooked up correctly?)
Tx set-up
good batt.s?
(radio 101 the majority of esc's consider futaba backward) so throttle reverse ON
and one that gets a number of folks, throttle trim set to Negative 30(or so).
if after reviewing all of these things etc. the esc still doesn't work, call rc-hydros and tell them.
