usally to water proof the esc some form of conformal coating is used.
what i use comes in a spray can, i give it a few coates and let dry in the sun for acouple of hours, then take it out of the sun for about 1 hour this lets it harden. then i sand the conformal coating of the top of the fets and add the cooling plate

I made water cooling on my HiModel GX 200 using a 3M Thermally conductive tape

I would think twice about using liquid electrical tape. The purpose is to provide insulation. It does a great job with electrical insulation. Thermal properties may be a different story. If I were to design a product like liquid electrical tape I would wat it to have good thermal isolation properties also. You could do some tests on it, but the recommendation to use a 2-part epoxy that was designed specifically for electrical isolation but good thermal conductivity is what I would stick with. Rubber based products like bed insulator materal would also probably have poor thermal conductiity.

Yes but it has little particles in it...sand or soemthing but it would be nice to be able to drop a brick on it and have it still run

I tried to skim through all the pages and still wondering if you could waterproof with liquid electrical tape. It's not conductive. What's your thoughts about this?

You can see the pics attached. The cure time is about 24 hrs room temp but you can boost it to just an hour or two if you elevate the temp. I think the controller circuit board is the same for many of the ESC's that fall in this same class. (compare the close up pic with your controller) They up the amp ratings by just adding more FET boards.
My mods include:
adding more caps, generally to 4000 uf
ALWAYS using a BEC
re-routing all the wires so they come out the same end.
adding a thermistor to measure DIRECT FET temps, not just the surface of the heat sink
adding a 100ohm 1 watt resistor to prevent arching when connecting
Increasing the power wire size to 10 guarge with large bullet connectors.
On some units I also put a copper heat sink on the caps and a thermistor under it to measure actul cap temps (all feed into my Eagle Tree)
