Here is the run on 6s with the 645 prop. Performance and handling are pretty good. Top speed was 40.6 Maybe faster but Bigford and I collided which knocked both my battery trays loose.

No issues, with wakes and ripples from the other boat you can't predict what is going to happen with the handling, your boat is lighter so it skips a little more across the surface. Runs real nice on 6s. I have to finish the Aeromarine meam machine I have. Hoping that does around 56mph like yours.

Good news. I'll stick with the 2074kv motor on 4S for now, but try a larger prop.

Here is some info for you. According to the OSE Speed calculator. Your set up should run 44mph and your running 28mph difference of 14mph
I should be running 59 and am running 40.5mph a difference of 17.5. Both the boats are loosing 31-36% from the calculated speed.

Point being the hull design and size of the boat make it slow. If you go to a bigger prop try a 642 first and check temps. I don't know how much heat the higher kv motor will make or the increase in amps from swinging a bigger prop. Obviously between the small test bed of the two of us and the fairly close % of speed we both have lost, I would say we are driving around water bricks

I wanted 35-40 out of the boat on 4s but I don't think that is a reality with this boat and the 4074 1650kv.

smooth as glass will slow you down as well, you actually want a little bit of ripple to get some air under the hull. Also, if you haven't all ready, wet sand the bottom of the hull with some 600 grit wet sandpaper, helps break the water tension. My 30" mono is running 4s and an SSS 3674 - 2075kv motor and running 40mph. Supposed to be running 46 with a 445 prop according to the OSE calculator.

Zooma is running the SSS 3674 2075 with a 640 prop on 4s and hits 28 mph in the Princess yacht. I think the boat is just a cruising pig I am happy with it as I just wanted a middle of the road boat. Goal was 35-40mph which I think needs to be on 6s with my set-up.

Thanks I really don't understand why it is so inefficient cutting through the water though, maybe the full run strakes on the hull add drag?

Do you want me to bring down the rescue tug?? The way you drive I am pretty sure you will be upside down in no time

I think it has more to do with how tall it is, I'd say there is more drag on the tall bridge etc. Have you tried adding some positive strut to keep the front of the hull out of the water? It will make the hull more unstable though.
