Then I have an etti 150 7s controller with an added cooling block and castle cap bank, wires short as possible. One thing will be changed at a time of course. Wish me luck!

I have nothing to prove to you !!!and the more you talk like this,, just reinforce's what I said !! so you would be the judge and the jury sounds like a loosing proposition for me,, no thanks,, and buy the way so you know the tong root is not even in the water under speed that part or a prop does not matter !!! Only 50-30% of the prop is being used and thats the top 30%,,, so your wecome for just teaching you something

The record has stood for 7 years, but I guess for someone with your expertise and years of boat building experience it would be no problem lol

I wish I had the time to come out and join you. Sending you one of my boats may be an option. Let me know what class it would fall in and what rules/restrictions I'd need to follow. I could build something a little more suitable...if you think about it, this boat is a budget boat. $79 esc, $120 motor....lol... I could step it up a little. I'm just trying to see what I can do with a beater on a budget. I guess it's more a learning experience.

What if i build the boat. test it. beat it on my gps (which i would shoot for a bit more to be safe) and you either buy the boat from me and go break it or ill just ship it to you to beat the record. I have another one of these hulls brand new in the box......

I'm surprised you don't try for a record, you have some nice builds and getting your speed up there. IMPBA has a time trial next weekend in AL, not real close to you but it's fun and worth the drive, I'm sure those guys put on a good race.
I honestly don't think it would be that hard to get 70 on 4s. I just prefer to use 6s or 7s with a lower kv because I can run my boat around the lake if I just want to drive it. Right now I'm mostly testing things to see what speed I can get, but several times I been out there I cruised it around the lake just to see if things would heat up and if it would just cruise around alright. I may try the 4s deal after I'm done doing what I'm trying to do now.
