Yes they are £110 + jacket + postage, when I bought mine I think it totalled about £132 if I got it from the UK. The other reason I ended up getting it from OSE as they had more choice on the kv I wanted which I couldn't get in the UK + it was a bonus getting it all for £94.

I've managed to find some TP 4060 (4092) in various kv's in the UK at reasonable prices but will speak to Allan but was pretty sure they were around £110 plus postage?

I think a better choice would be a Leopard 4092 over the 4082, I know their not that easy to get in the UK but Allan @ Astec has the 4092 - 1300kv in stock. OSE also has a great selection of kv for the 4092 motor @ a pretty good price complete with free water jacket, I may have been lucky when I bought my 4092 - 1390kv with water jacket for £94 from OSE, this included shipping cost & I had the motor in a week to the UK & didn't get charged customs.

Thanks Fluid, it is quite a big hull so I think you're right but cant find any 4082 in the UK under 1600kv although I can get a 1400kv with the smaller can, may have to ship from elsewhere, I have a spare M445 so was hoping to use that.

I will start a separate build thread once all the parts arrive and will got for a flooded stuffing tube/strut arrangement

That motor is a bit small for the hull size. I'd get at least a 84mm long motor with a Kv between 1300 and 1400 - longer is better. No need to spin it too tight, that Kv will handle several props which will get you to 50 .

what power setup is recommended? I don't want overpower it and 6s sport running is purely my goal here so nothing over 50mph, I was thinking of a 1400kv leopard 4074?

I have seen all 3, Titan, DF, and the Rico, all run well, setup is key for all of them. My DF runs well in all conditions, but I've got 3-4 years on mine and have made lots little changes, most recently I have raised my strut a lot and this has seemed to make the boat run much more consistently. My feeling in this class is that if you have a boat that can run 55-58 mph in all conditions you have a chance to win any time, when theres 6-8 boats in a heat its hard to go any faster than that anyway even if you have the speed.
It's funny a few years ago the Titan was the boat to beat, but as we got more power people moved away from them to the DF mostly, seemingly the Titan was too flighty with more speed, the lifting strakes on the titan seemed to make the boat too flighty, now people are going back to the Titans because we can put more weight in the boat without sacrificing speed or power and these hulls seem to be the one to beat now.

What did you finally end up with - bottom of hull to centerline of stuffing tube/ strut? Also what did you finally end up with in terms of COG (% of hull length) ? Building a Titian 33. Thanks.

My question is, is anyone racing something that beats the Titans in rough water? Our club is quickly becoming an all Titan p-mono club and I would like to see if there is anything new and different out there to try out.

I fully concede that a nicely tuned Titan40 is hard to beat but when it comes to sloppy water the (bias alert) Insane 34 does an excellent job. It's long and has a lot of bottom in the water and can finish when faster hulls get fiddley.

Jim, there are some other options. I have not seem them run so I can't really comment on how they perfomr versus a Titan 40.

All 2013 I got my @$ Handed by two Rico boats 31 or 33 don't know the exact length. I've yet to run one but they run very good on both Glass and rough water from what I have seen. I have to run perfect laps to stay ahead otherwise they creep up next to my Titan 29.

I would add that I am the one club member in Fluid's club that runs a Delta Force hull and I cannot keep up with the Titan's in rough water which is most of the time. We did have a race recently in glass smooth water and the Delta Force hull was super fast and beat the Titan's fairly easily. That said, all around, the Titan's usually have the advantage.

hey Jay you are correct, I should have been more specific, mine was laid up in almost paper thin CF and then autoclaved. Very light and very strong. It is the only one Remy did this way, the entire boat in p-spec trim with 4s2p (8000mah total) weighs about as much as a regular laid up Titan 40 hull alone. The Titans are very capable hulls. Dave Newlands titan 40 is one of the best, if not the best, P-mono in the country. His boat can run into the 60's and has got me thinking about switching from my DF back to a titan.
