To the OP - Titan 40s are great rough water boats, we have six in our club and they run all over the DF boats in rough water. Most of us run Neu 1521/1.5D motors on 4S and as long as the speed is limited to ~50-55 they are wonderful. If you keep the speed in the same range they will run great on 6S at lower amps with longer run times.

A bit of a caveat in there "as long as the speed is limited to ~50-55". After that and it becomes an airplane. Thats where the Delta takes over.

Sorry Mike, but I owned an all-carbon fiber light-layup by Remy. It was made about seven years ago for a US racer running a gear drive, and it placed in at least one Nats. Now it is raced by a fellow club member in direct drive and it runs awesome for him too.

ALL aeromarine hulls have an aeromarine sticker with their logo laminated into the inside of the hull with a handwritten serial #on it.

Thanks for the heads up that's good to know that it's not genuine, I didn't see any label inside the hull and only know its a "Titan" as the twin canopy is quite unique.

Buyer beware, he made only one (Mine) in an autoclave my hull weighs in at 12 ounces. there was a guy in Europe copying them and he should be ashamed of himself if he I selling them as Titan 40's as a matter of fact if he is selling them at all.

There are very, very few full carbon titan 40's around. All where special ordered. So if you have one to buy, Id jump on it. Make sure its just not carbon inlaid inside. Thats normally how its done.

I have read many times this is a very good boat in less than ideal water conditions , there quite a few members that could vouch for this hull, as to your powerplant that sounds like a good combo but no idea what kv rating your 4082 motor is. Since your going 6s and not blistering speed a kv around 1250-1400 could get your desired speed and alittle more runtime

Hi guys,

After almost pulling the trigger on on popeye hydro I wondered into my LHS today as the main guy there is really into FE (but only sells rtr's and scale models which is a real shame) he reminded me that here in the UK I won't see many days with the conditions to run a hydro which is probably fair comment!

He had a full carbon fibre Titan 40 which he had a few specially made which he's willing to let me take off his hands for a very reasonable price.

Is this hull still a good all rounder for less than perfect conditions? I won't be racing just sport at 45-50mph, I this hull would work well with the 4082 motor, m445 and 6s setup I'd planned for the popeye?
