It's just a piece of wood. I cut out the middle section using the "bubble" section of a geico hatch and used that to do some sort of fiberglass work. It's strong and easy to tape, it was a rush job. I ordered a new hatch but its on back order so still waiting on that

Lol, whatever works!!! Damn, I just realized I missed your other post asking if I have any GPS with the prop. Unfortunately, no GPS on it yet, only used it that one time. Was busy and then I tore the boat down to repair and paint it (did you see the pics?). Have not tried it on the Miss Geico yet, have not run that one in a while either
. Maybe I'll take one of them out today. Now that the Pursuit is all pretty, I am really thinking of slowing it down some. I just ordered a Fightercat Daytona that will probably get the 4082 1600 out of the Pursuit and I'll go with a 4074 1400 or maybe even higher KV but with a smaller prop.

OK, wanted to update this with an OT post. Just got done running the boat and it stays super flat at speed, no more rocking. Raising the stinger and going to the 642 made a huge difference and also, when I painted the boat, I noticed there was a pretty good "cup" to it on the bottom one side. I filled that and trued/smoothed the rear 1/3 or so of the bottom. I'm sure this was having a negative affect on it's performance as well. Now it has a nice flat surface to ride on.
I did notice that the 642 kind of unwinds as it goes- just keeps getting faster and faster at full throttle whereas the 445 was a little more instant speed, but that was contributing to the problem as well. It is much smoother all around with the 642 on it. It did roll once at speed hitting some ripples that threw it off step, but nothing like it used to be. I actually started bringing the tabs up on it with no negative affect.
I might try the 445 again now that the bottom is smoothed just to test it, but as of right now, I am liking the 642 on it (with the exception of the decreased run time). I am also going to try it on 4S again with a 445 to GPS it like that. It wasn't a rocket, but with 4S2P, it was still fast enough to have fun and had a ton of run time to it!My favorite search engine http://google.com

Well the 642 has more lift, I will guess that the 445 will run a bit looser.
Got any 3 blades to try?

Well, the only thing in the water is really the stinger and a couple inches of boat, if that, just barely touching the water. Looks about the same as it did with the 445. I'll have to run them back to back to compare them. Much smoother performing with the 642 so far. No, no 3 blades, would like to try one though.Originally posted by Heaving Earth View PostWell the 642 has more lift, I will guess that the 445 will run a bit looser.

All sound pretty good and the boat looks good now,
My hull has a little cup to both side of the ride pads.
So did you get any video's or gps reading of it yet ?
I ran mine today and think I got some good video of it running on 4s and 5s,
Best speed was on 5s and 5 minutes of run time on a 35c 3800mah pack and gps at 48.3,
And running pretty stable with new setting.

Hi Ray.
Ok the setup is the kintec Pursuit I picked up on hear with the bad motors,
Setup is Leopard 4074 1800kv and esc is SK180a with 5 caps and 5.5 bullets all the way.
Running 9.5 cg on 4s1p and 5s1p with a x447/3 prop, Top speeds so far are 3s 33 mph, 4s 42mph, 5s 48mph.
Temp of water 90f and temp of setup Esc 100f, Caps 130f, bullets at motor 135f, Motor 120f at back bearing,
And the cell temp was 110f on a timed 5 minute run with a little on/off throttle while running.
The 3s is a Zippy 40c 5000mah and 4s is a black turnigy hard case 30c 4500mah,
And the 5s is a Great hobbies G2 35c 3800mah pack, It was on 10s pack that I split into two 5s packs.

Mine was cupped on one side for sure, the other side was busted up and needed grinding and filling, so it it may have been as well but I couldn't tell at that point. The funny thing is the side with no damage took more filler to level than the damaged side! I always knew the cup was there, but once I started sanding and filling, I couldn't believe how bad it really was. It's nice and flat now :). No vids or GPS yet thoughOriginally posted by lenny View PostAll sound pretty good and the boat looks good now,

Have you measured to see where your CG is with your pack there? I know that is where most of them come set up from the factory, but mine plowed through the water with the packs up front and performed much better with them back along side the motor. Man, a 447x3?? That seems like a hell of a lot of prop for that motor, but your temps look good so...Originally posted by lenny View PostHi Ray.

Hi,
No I did not find where my cg is with the cell in place yet.
Later on to night I will see what it is.
I will be headed out to run some today with the Pursuit and MG,
What do you guys think about 6s and the leopard 4074 1800kv motor at 39960 rpm.
I was thinking of trying it today with one pack and propping down I guess a little from the x447/3.

Ok I ran today with some old cells and was trying to cycle them,
Than I ran a 4s 25c 5300 genace pack setting at the motor bell.
Than I moved it to the foam at the bow and got 43.3mph gps,
I need to do some more testing with the cell locations.
I did find out what the CG is with the cell in place,
With the cell at the motor back bell CG is 10" and with the cell at the bow foam it is 10"7/8".
I am not sure but I think it ran faster at the bow foam.
